TOP TEN REASONS TO CONTINUE WRITING:
(10 to 1) Can’t imagine doing anything else.
11. Highest of highs, lowest of lows. (akin to a roller coaster, vomiting may occur.)
Oh, but you didn’t mention the fabulous parties and the lavish expense accounts!
I’ve missed your Top Ten lists!
Thanks for being an adjacent genius for all of us.
You should probably share more gossip. Please tell.
My colleagues and friends in book publishing have been the smartest and funniest people I’ve known. I sat in many a meeting that consisted of all women. How many other businesses can say as much? Alas, most of us were laid off long ago. I’m happy to have been part of what turned out to be the last of the good old days.
really love this post, have thought of it while washing dishes etc. and laughed aloud saying genius adjacent ~ ha ha! the whole thing is great, practically surreal ? is that going to far? just a great post.
i guess i’m a little embarrassed at how mildly obsessive i may sound but as is usually the case when i post online i don’t add a crucial something. this time it was that i was wondering, what’s with the zebra? it just now struck me that it’s from the beatrice inn ~ is this right? is this why you used it? lunch/expense accounts isn’t mentioned in the list but one could walk themselves from practically all of your list to these…egad…this is what happens when i’m wrangling w wrapping writing up. i’m honestly a completely sane normal person.
